What’s the Budget for an Indian Wedding in France?

Planning an Indian or multicultural destination wedding in France is a dream come true with heritage venues, incredible food, and unforgettable experiences shared with your loved ones.

But how much should you realistically expect to spend for a 2-night celebration with 3 main events for 100 guests?

Here’s a transparent breakdown.

Venue Rental : 20,000€ – 40,000€

Most French venues require a 2- or 3-night minimum stay for weekend weddings depending on the rental period.

This often includes accommodation for part of your guests, access to the gardens, dining rooms, or reception areas, and sometimes tables, chairs, or basic equipment.

Food & Catering : 250€ – 350€ per guest

For Indian weddings, food is at the heart of the celebration and it often means working with specialized caterers familiar with Indian or fusion menus. You’ll likely plan for:

  • Welcome dinner/Sangeet (Day 1)
  • Wedding day lunch & dinner (Day 2)
  • Farewell breakfast or brunch (Day 3)

Drinks & Open Bar : 50€ – 150€ per guest

Alcohol is rarely included in catering quotes. Most couples choose to bring their own wine and champagne, which can be more cost-efficient, and then hire bartenders for an open bar after dinner. Don’t forget corkage fees or bar staff costs if your venue requires it.

Music, Photo & Video : 12,000€ – 16,000€

  • DJ: around €4,000 – €6,000, depending on sound system, lighting, and number of events
  • Photographer + Videographer: expect €8,000 – €10,000 for a full wedding weekend coverage

If you want an Indian DJ or team used to cultural ceremonies, they might need to travel so you will need to include travel and accommodation costs.

Design & Décor : 10,000€ – 25,000€

Floral design, mandap structure, furniture rentals, lighting, signage — decor for Indian weddings is often elaborate and multi-day.

Costs depend on the complexity of the setup and also if you are ok with re-using some flowers throughout the weekend.

Coordination, Logistics & Others : 20,000€ – 30,000€

This includes other vendors and extra you will need such as planner, priest/officiant, transportation & logistics (guest shuttles, accommodation management, delivery coordination), make up artist, etc)

I know I am repeating myself but hiring an experienced planner who knows the Indian wedding flow (multiple events, rituals, timing) will save you time, stress, and costly mistakes.

To sum up

For a 2-night Indian destination wedding in France with 3 main events and 100 guests, expect a total budget of around 800 – 1,000 per guest or roughly 80,000 – 100,000 total, depending on venue, style, and vendors.
